This explainer video promotes a social media app called Mombi Meet. What I like about this piece is, the minimmalistic approach with geometric and shape based elements. The straight forward and clear design leaves no need for character animation to explain the product. It's refreshing to see beautiful abstract forms instead of little characters for a change.
This is the original script. I translated it to german and hired native voice actress Franziska Holitschke to record the voiceover. The script is very short and on point, perfect to quickly convey a clear message in the fast paced environment of web and social media.
After finalising the script I started designing each scene in Adobe Illustrator. This gives the client and me plenty of opportunity to envision the finished animation and retouch any aspects of the design to align concept ideas to the core message. After clients approval of the Design Board I head over to Adobe After Effects and animate each scene until we have a final video.
